She did have to leave her apartment; however, she’s had temporary housing via a couple of acquaintances and staying in unsold apartments for a fee. She’s been able to help pay for the fees through seasonal work. Although we could not raise $18,000, it doesn’t mean a little doesn’t make a difference. A portion of your $1,200 has been used to help her through this time, along with providing funds for medical co-pays and transportation. We will keep you updated on her progress. Suena and Linda appeared on the Tyra Banks Show May 15th. watch show now Suena is doing amazingly well given everything that has happened. In May, Suena collapsed in the grocery store. She was diagnosed with blood clots in both her leg and her lungs, again narrowly escaping death after spending three days in intensive care. It was in ICU she had an epiphany: “For so long, I felt I didn’t belong here. Now, I know I am meant to be here. To almost die twice in three months, I know God means for me to be here. I have to keep working to find my purpose." Unfortunately, we haven’t raised enough money to keep her in her apartment. She is scheduled for eviction at the end of August. $25,000 is needed to keep her in her apartment. However, all is not lost. Suena is now receiving invaluable medical care. Your donations of almost a $1,000 are continuing to play a key role in Suena’s life. We are printing the state, but she will only be known as K for privacy's sake. Like so many, she lost her job and was days away from being on the streets. We received a call asking if we'd received her email. We immediately opened it with her on the phone and here's what it said: Dear Mrs. Linda, I am a mother with 4 children. I have contemplated on whether or not to write this letter. My situation you may have heard several times. I lost my job and have been out of work for several months now. I have an immediate need for rent. I have prayed and prayed and it seems that no matter how faithful I am to the Lord things go wrong. But I am yet trying to keep my faith. I have maybe till the end of the day to find somewhere for me and my kids. The homeless shelters are full and the one that isn't doesn't have room for my size family. I have considered selling my soul to make sure they have a roof over there head. I had an offer from a pimp who said he would pay, but at what cost? I am in desperate need of your foundation's help. Right now prostitution is the only way out. She was $1,500 behind in her rent, but had $1,000 to give. Unfortunately, Angel Helper didn't have any money, but after a conversation with the management company explaining the situation, they accepted her money to allow her to stay in her apartment. Here was her response: Hi, I just wanted to express my deepest thanks to you. I now know that there is still people out there that care. I also wanted you to know that I do write grants so if there is anything you need me to do I will gladly do it. Thank you and God Bless. Update on Suena

Suena is hanging in there. She did have to leave her apartment; however, she’s had temporary housing via a couple of acquaintances and staying in unsold apartments for a fee. She’s been able to help pay for the fees through seasonal work.

Although we could not raise $18,000, it doesn’t mean a little doesn’t make a difference. A portion of your $1,200 has been used to help her through this time, along with providing funds for medical co-pays and transportation. We will keep you updated on her progress. We ask you keep her in your prayers that she finds sustaining employment.

Suena is doing amazingly well given everything that has happened. In May, Suena collapsed in the grocery store. She was diagnosed with blood clots in both her leg and her lungs, again narrowly escaping death after spending three days in intensive care. It was in ICU she had an epiphany:

“For so long, I felt I didn’t belong here. Now, I know I am meant to be here. To almost die twice in three months, I know God means for me to be here. I have to keep working to find my purpose."

Unfortunately, we haven’t raised enough money to keep her in her apartment. She is scheduled for eviction at the end of August. $25,000 is needed to keep her in her apartment.
